It is the same energy as prana, orgone energy, ch’i, Mana and others. People who have received Reiki attunements have cleared the channels through which universal energy flows enabling them, in addition to improving their own state, providing this healing to other living things in a more powerful and effective energy.

The word Reiki is made up of two kanji (ideograms) Japanese: Rei and Ki. Rei means supernatural force, Spiritual and Universal Intelligence. Ki means Energy Vital. So Reiki is Vital Energy and Power Spiritually Guided-ENERGY UNIVERSAL LIFE.

Reiki is not a gift or a special skill. Anyone can practice, both on himself and to others. Reiki courses are actually what we call “Initiations”, given that the practice of Reiki can only be transmitted by a Master directly. That Master will start at different levels, activating the chakras of your body and “implementing” the Reiki symbols in your aura. Once activated, the ability to give Reiki is active in person for the rest of his life, whatever the level.

How does it work?

As an energy that comes from the source, the energy of Reiki practitioners unabated.

Is it a religion?

Although Reiki is spiritual in nature, it is not a religion. It is not a dogma and there is nothing in what you have to believe in order to use it.

The initiation to the First Reiki Level is indicated for anyone interested in learning the Usui System of Natural Healing, meditation and sharing experience of Reiki with others. It does not require previous experience. With this level you will be able to give you as much Reiki to others, using your hands in the positions that you learned. Often called the “physical level” since you learn to channel Reiki using your hands directly. With the simple act of putting your hands on yourself, other people, animals or even plants, you will be channeling Universal Energy. There is no need to concentrate, believe, want to heal, say prayers or meditation, since Reiki does not need our approval to act.

With this level,  known as the mental work with mental and emotional situations. At this level there is an introduction to the three sacred symbols of Reiki, which are taught and are implanted in the hands of the participant. Different types of treatments that are learned depend on the combination of these three symbols. It is imperative to have completed Level I Reiki earlier.

The symbols that are learned can be used to send Reiki at distance, to the past and the future. The second level puts more emphasis on the body energy compared with the physical body in level I. There is a refinement of the Level I since t each level is a complete module, but increases the level of vibratory in the participants. As a result, processing times are reduced drastically, from 60 to 90 minutes in R-I to 20 to 30 minutes by R-II.

With this level, known as the Inner Master, you zoom to be master of Reiki. This level provides an introduction to the sacred symbols of a Reiki master,  who taught and are implanted in the hands of the participant. The only difference between this level and Master level is that you are not able to initiate others. The symbols that are learned give more strength to the energy that is channeled, as well as add new symbols for specific uses. The level III is the biggest “jump” that exists between levels, since it raises the levels of vibration for each participant dramatically.

The Master’s level is also called the Spiritual or Professor level. The person who is Initiated as Reiki Master receives knowledge of how to initiate others to Reiki. It does not oblige anyone to teach and many people choose this level within a perspective of inner growth. This seminar requires a year of training, approximately.

Given that there are no hierarchies in Reiki, once initiated the Reiki Master is at the same level as all Masters of the world. Being a Reiki Master is a tremendous spiritual and moral responsibility. First, we must recognize the clear separation between our teaching skills, to convey our knowledge and our role as mere Universal Energy channels. Second, we must be aware that Reiki cause profound changes in us at this level. This means that  we remain “patient” ourselves, undergoing changes that can sometimes be difficult to assimilate.

Humility is the key to this level of assimilation. We must never allow our personality to influence our actions. When we talk with our students and patients, we always stress that we issue personal opinions, not opinions that come from some high level or higher. We must also always remember that a healing process is in any case carried out by the same patient. We still have a tremendous capacity for channeling Universal Energy, we remain only that, a channel that conveys something that is not ours and is offered to patients for use at will.
